Monster Island, a mockbuster from The Asylum that came out in 2019 around the same time as Godzilla: King of the Monsters, is about an island called Monster Island where a monster lives. The monster is, in a way, the island, or Monster Island, itself.


This film is about an asylum. It has about the same amount of money as a big kid's dinner and uses it sparingly. It concentrates on a few main characters and has its (first post) major actors filming their scenes at lunch. The Asylum might not do as bad a job because this is a kaiju movie.
